Last week, we were in Atlanta for Microsoft Dynamics Convergence conference, and what a week it was!
More than 12,000 people attended the event, which included a series of speakers and learning sessions with other customers, partners and Microsoft specialists to learn more on how they use Microsoft Dynamics and what trends to expect in the future.
The conference started with a keynote address from Microsoft Business Solutions Executive Vice President Kirill Tatarinov, who spoke on the importance of customer interaction and how technology is changing the culture of how people interact with one another.
We also learned about some of Microsoft’s exciting new products coming out, including:
- Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3: Will be available May 1 of this year on-premises and with Windows Azure cloud infrastructure. It includes functions that will allow businesses to create and distribute apps for specific mobile devices and scenarios.Customers will be able to run AX 2012 R3 in full production form, for development and testing, or as a disaster recovery instance in conjunction with their on-premises deployment. New Azure-based application life-cycle services for AX will also provide ongoing health monitoring of customer systems, identifying potential problems that need fixing.
- Microsoft Dynamics GP: Updates are expected for Dynamics GP in Q2 which will include new identity management, workflow capabilities and new self-service companion apps.
We’ve learned a lot and are excited to extend that knowledge into our software. We look forward to experiencing the updates in Microsoft Dynamics first-hand later this year!
